Book Two in this new series, Priesthunter is now over 14K words and continuing to grow. I’m very active on Twitter lately, see @TXMacLeod to follow (I appreciate all followers, deeply). #2bittues and #1linewed snippets from works in progress, according to themes has been a lot of fun during the week. Reading a lot of little lines from a multitude of talented authors.
Finally got sucked into The Walking Dead and binge watched everything up to current. I’m happy I stuck with it after Season 3, because the writing floundered a bit. Season 6 comes out strong and the ending is tremendous. The internet is awash with theories and discussion over the direction the show is going. I won’t speculate on which character is affected by the finale of season 6, but I approve of the way it was done.
Supergirl was a surprise for me this inaugural season. Having her save the world, because Superman is unconscious for some mysterious reason really brought out Supergirl’s character. Best part was the scene where you see Supes’ boots on the table behind her while she discusses with other characters.
Scorpion had promise, but the storytelling suffers because of too many last minute saves that are completely implausible. Its not the outright fantasy that kills the show for me, but the implausible acts passed off as science that kills it. I got through about seven or eight shows and dropped it. I do like the main character and the kid is fantastic.
Batman vs Superman was another disappointment. I like Affleck as Bruce Wayne and Cavill is the best Supes I’ve ever seen, but the story was too involved. DC should take a lesson from Marvel, keep the plot simpler and use the characters to drive the movie. I think Justice League still has promise though.
I’m out until next time, have to knock out more Priesthunter so it can be ready once Magehunter goes into edits, then on to Roguehunter.
