Let’s see if I can do this without spoilers…
Star Wars: The Last Jedi was about as predictable as I thought it would be, but it was still well directed. Mark Hamill was very good in the role that launched him into the spotlight in the late 70’s. Seems he dropped a few from the end of The Force Awakens until The Last Jedi, which is a good thing. Honestly, living on the island he was on, how could anyone NOT drop a few pounds. So…much…walking…UPHILL!
Princess Leia has a line saying something along the lines of how long they’ve been fighting as the resistance. I almost laughed, because in truth, it’s how long they’ve been running away as the resistance. Still, they manage to off the original Death Star, as well as a second one. They off an even larger star killer Deathstar in The Force Awakens, pretty much the same way. You’d think the First Order would learn something from the mistakes of the Empire.
Anyway, the ships get bigger, the stakes get higher, and the trickery gets predictable, but fun. I like how they ended this one and I’m looking forward to Episode Nine, which should be the last one.
Cute characters and comic relief (Which includes Chewie): A
Overall (In my opinion) A-
